Updated COVID-19 Protocols
Updated March 14, 2022
Given the significant decline in COVID cases in our area and updated CDC guidance on mask wearing, effective immediately, face masks/coverings are now optional for all students and staff, regardless of age or vaccination status.
We have also made a few changes to our COVID-19 positive case notification procedures. Moving forward, we will no longer send positive COVID-19 case email notifications to the entire class. However, we WILL continue to notify close contacts to the extent possible (as defined by the CDC) via text and phone as soon as we are notified of the positive case.
Please note that we will continue to clean and disinfect before, between, and after classes. Sanitizer and disinfecting wipes will continue to be available for all students. We ask that you please clean and sanitize all your equipment before and after class, in addition to following our Safety & Hygiene Must-Do’s For Training.
With respect to COVID-19 quarantine/isolation protocols, we will continue to follow the latest CDC and Virginia Department of Health (VDH) Guidelines as set forth in the pdf link below. Please note both charts below have been obtained from the VDH website.
Updated COVID Guidance Jan 2022
In the event of another surge or changing CDC and state health department guidelines, we will reassess our protocols and keep you updated of any changes in our procedures. We are sincerely grateful for your cooperation and support of our COVID-19 protocols throughout this pandemic, and we are incredibly excited to have low community levels of spread.
Please let us know if you have any questions, and please stay safe.
